We have new cards! Cards of the future! By that, we mean that they have a picture of our beautiful library and a key chain card as well. New users get them for free when they sign up for an account. If you already have a card and you want to replace your old one, it costs $1.00. It's not necessary, but it looks super awesome and all the cool kids have one.
September is also library card sign up month. To register, all you have to do is bring in a form of photo id. Users under the age of eighteen need to bring a parent or guardian, and you need to be older than six. The first card is free, so stop by and sign up!
This year was the first Teen Summer Reading Program at the Mercer County District Library. It's a great opportunity for recent graduates of the Children's Summer Reading Program to read slightly more challenging books and interact with other teen readers. This year the grand prize was a Kindle Fire and the winner was Lauren Duncan. Also, Natalie Lutz, Tara Abner, Karlee Huber, Katy Schindler, Haley Sudman, Megh Patel, and Turner Wendel won prizes along the way. Well done!
This will be held every summer, so readers between the ages of 13-18 have a chance to win some really great prizes. The more you read (or listen, because audiobooks count), the more times your name gets entered in the lottery. But instead of being chosen to fight in an arena of twenty-four other kids, all you get is a Kindle. Not as thrilling, but probably more desirable.

End of Computer Class Season
As of the first of this month, there are no more one-on-one computer tutoring sessions available, as most of our tutors have gone back to college, where they ironically study in fields completely unrelated to computers. Still, we hope we were able to help answer all of your questions!
