SUMMER READING PROGRAMS @ the library
Children's Summer Reading Program
Join us this summer as we explore dreams of all kinds at The Mercer County Library! We’ll kick off the program on Thursday, May 31ST @ 10am with a visit from our friend Ronald McDonald. Call or stop in to register for this fun-filled program.
From the dreams you have at night to what you dream to become, our Summer Reading Program will cover them all this year! Don’t forget we’ll be giving away prizes each week and you can enter the raffle just by reading books! Each time you return your books, keep track of them in your dream log and for every 5 books, you get a chance in the weekly drawing and get a sticker for your very own star.
Stop by the library to participate in games & contests throughout the summer. Be sure to enter the 10th annual summer reading program coloring contest, where winners will receive super cool prizes!
The Reading Program party will be held on Friday, July 20th @ 9:30am. Get ready to have some awesome fun with The Great Kaplan! His show will have you amazed and laughing and it’s fun for the whole family! There will be refreshments and balloons for all who attend. Certificates will be awarded to anyone who has read
at least 10 books.
STORY & CRAFT HOURS
From June 6h to July 11th, there will be special story and craft hours for children ages 6 to 10. On each Wednesday, from 10 to 11a.m., children will have fun as they learn about camping, dreaming, stars, outer space, and nighttime wildlife each week. Pre-registration is required for each session. Space for the story and craft hours is limited, so make sure to sign up one week in advance by stopping in or calling the library.
